MAPS.ME adds metro and traffic congestion overlays to maps.

MAPS.ME now features themed layers that display additional info on top of current maps. Customers may now find two levels – a metro map and visitor jams for cities all around the world.

There is a visual metro map on the primary layer that shows all strains and stations right on the map. The metro layer is available for purchase in 156 locations across the world. Tourists may use the metro map to plan journeys offline.

When the proportions are reduced for customer convenience, the top stations of the strains are indicated on the diagram. As a result, determining which line to take is simple, as the top stations on the branches show the optimal departure path in many cities across the world.

You may design a route between stations on the diagram, just like in ordinary subway navigation mode, as well as construct a path from one object to another. MAPS.ME will select the shortest route and show you how to travel to your destination via metro.

All schemes are localized: they are presented automatically in the language that the user has selected for his or her smartphone or tablet.

In addition, as a separate layer, it will be possible to implement a traffic jam system in cities in 38 countries across the world.
